What is trace?

trace stands for Transaction Review, Analysis & Categorization Engine. It’s a desktop app for reviewing card transactions, understanding spending patterns and setting monthly category targets.

How do I import my transactions?

Import supported card statement PDFs. You can review the transactions and card matches before saving. Statement support depends on the PDF format; files that cannot be read safely are rejected.

Is my financial data private?

Your financial data stays on your device. There’s no cloud account or bank connection, and cards need only a name and their last four digits. Original PDFs are not kept unless you choose to retain them locally.

Which computers does trace support?

trace is built for macOS 13 and later, and Windows 10 or 11 on x64 computers.

Can I download trace now?

A public download is not yet available through this website.
